I found these pictures on a memory card. They are exactly two years old from my trip to Philadelphia and had not made it on the blog, yet. Looking through these pictures I felt like they were from a lifetime ago. Everything about this trip feels so long ago. Right now, in my current state of mind, I cannot even think of going to a restaurant and eating. Only take-outs for me.
Pre-COVID I was out at least for a couple of meals every week. I miss a sit-down meal, a friendly ambiance, a change of pace. But no matter how mundane and boring I find this current pace of life, I am not ready to have a sit-down meal at a restaurant. Not even with social distancing. Not for a while at least. Until then, I will live vicariously through my own archives of pictures.

Wow this looks sooooo good! I totally miss going out to eat. We're still stuck at home for the forseeable future :-( Living through you lol!

ReplyDeleteHow charming is this spot! I wonder, when, if I will ever feel comfortable in these quaint, little spots.
ReplyDeleteWe've been going out to eat inside a restaurant once or twice a week, can't stay in forever. It's been 6 months of distancing for us, so I cannot tell you how excited I was when the dining spaces opened! -Ada
ReplyDeleteThe food at Amada looks absolutely delicious and I love the ambience too. What a lovely restaurant to visit in Philadelphia
ReplyDeleteThe food looks and sounds amazing! Also appreciate the place's aesthetic! xoxo, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThis definitely makes me miss eating out on a regular basis. I've been to... 2 restaurants? Since the lockdown lifted? But we wear our masks in and out, and only take them off to eat, and make sure we go to places that we know are going to be super on top of cleaning, and that exercise proper social distancing in-house. But this chill, relaxing vibe is something I seriously miss!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you there, I'm not ready to go out and have a sit down meal at any restaurants yet either. I loved the pics tho, the food and the vibe of Amada felt homey and cozy. Like it'd be a nice place to pop in for a quiet date.
ReplyDeleteThis food is making me want to get creative in my kitchen. Yummy! Everything looks so good!
