That’s why I write, because life never works except in retrospect. And writing makes you look back. Because since you can’t control life, at least you can control your version.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Stranger than Fiction
I would not call myself a writer. At least not a good one. For one I am too self-critical and second my grammar sucks. But what I do like is the process of putting words on paper. That's the only way I can make sense of life.
Someone had once said that to be called a 'writer' all you need to do is write everyday. It doesn't have to be good. It doesn't even have to get published, you just have to write. And then you can call yourself a writer. That struck a chord and ever since I have been writing. Most days I pen my incomplete thoughts. Sometimes I write couplets. Before blogging, I used to write poetry. And when all else fails and I am drawing a blank - I take account of any conversation I have had with a friend or my husband. My goal is to not break my discipline of writing. Most days what I write is either repetitive or below average or both. But it is helluva cathartic and fulfilling.
Moving on to the pictures ... There is nothing quite like a sunny autumn morning in the city. Even when I do not plan to take outfit pictures, I cannot resist but taken some pictures. These were taken last weekend right before brunch. I styled layer on layer on layer and kept it comfortable with tracks and cropped sweatshirt from Checka.

The sweatshirt is cute. Today would be the perfect day to wear a top like that, but tomorrow not so much. I like the blue in the pants as well. Nice pictures. Keep writing.
ReplyDeleteTo me you're a good writer and I also like your fashion style. - Jojo Reyes Jr
ReplyDeleteWow, I love these pants! And writing is a creative activity that happens when people do it. Claiming identity as "a writer" is unnecessary.

ReplyDeleteI do agree that if you write you are a writer especially if writing is done for yourself or out of passion!

I love your outfit! That's so cool that you wrote poetry! I was never a writer until I started blogging. And honestly, I never saw myself as a good writer either but I think that's in comparison to how we think we should be. We're all good in our own way :-)
