Let me share something unpopular about myself with you today and then defend it with my logic. I am not a sharer. I do not like sharing. To clarify, I have absolutely no problem in giving but sharing is something I don't enjoy even a tad bit.
Let me elaborate. For example, if there is food being ordered (or served) I would like to know my share in advance (however little that might be) and once decided I want my complete share. After the division I do not appreciate anyone taking a bite from my plate. If something is limited or there is only one piece available, I will probably step back and not have a bite versus having to split that morsel in a million pieces for the sake of 'sharing'.
That's a reasonable example though, because even if the budget is limited, resources are sparse, and there aren't many options, I still don't like sharing. For the record, just because I don't like it, doesn't mean I don't share. I do share. But not happily. #IAmWhoIAm 🤷🏻♀️
Moving on the outfit ... earlier this year I had introduced you to Grey State Apparel. In today's post I am styling another piece from their collection - Marlow Dress. Oh, and I am in love with it and here's why: it is a wrap dress, the fabric is luxe and flow plus it fits like a dream. Win, Win & Win!
A cherry on the top are these pictures shot by the fabulous Natasha. A little behind-the-scene information about the day of the shoot - we had planned for another location which didn't workout, hence the black outfit on a spring day. We spontaneously decided to shoot nearby and per usual Natasha did her magic and made me look good. I might or might not be kinda-obsessed with these pictures. You decide. :)

First of all I love this dress! it looks so very elegant on you!
ReplyDeletesecond of all... I agree sharing is not always beneficial or needed or for the better. I think we shouldn't share-share-share thoughtlessly
That's so funny because I feel the same! Mainly when it comes to food hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI agree, sometimes I like to just have something to myself, I am always giving but sometimes I don't want to share. Love these photos!
ReplyDeleteI like the concept behind this post. I think the phrase "sharing is caring" is not always applicable to a situation and should be carefully thought about for when it applies. Also I love your outfit! This clutch is adorable, so colorful! Xx, C
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks stunning on you! I also have a hard time with sharing!

ReplyDeleteI'm also like you!... I can relate that when ordering food I like to know my share and keep it, it's fair to keep our share :)

cute & little
That's so funny! I'm similar when it comes to food. I don't mind sharing with my husband, of course, but I'm not keen if I'm out with other people.

ReplyDeleteI am of the idea that sharing should not always and in any case be global, it is certain that there is something that remains only ours without being selfish!
The outfit is very pretty. My daughter doesn't like to share. Her oldest brother likes to take a bit of food off of her plate if she's eating and it drives her crazy. She makes that very clear. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat wrap dress does look very comfy and stylish. You are right it fits a dream and you have the figure to carry it off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI think the pictures turned out BEAUTIFUL! They really show off that gorgeous outfit. I really love the design and the flow.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely dress on you, and I like the sentiment in this post!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with that dress! It looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteSharing shouldn't always be the done thing - some situations simply don't call for it and I can understand why you prefer not to share.
ReplyDeleteyou're so pretty!! love how simple the dress is yet it's also perfect if it needed to be glamed up a bit! Love the pictures as well, Natasha did amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love that wrap dress its so pretty on you! And, that purse is AMAZING. BTW ..I'm not good at sharing either!
ReplyDeleteNice photography and I do love everything about this outfit. The designs, accessories and the colors are all perfect and it really looks good on you.
ReplyDeleteYou look so so stunning! Love the outfit on you, it really works for you. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteas a toddler mom, I have some mixed feelings about sharing. But your dress-slay, girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great dress! Looks so comfy and beautiful. Best of both worlds!
ReplyDeleteI don't really mind sharing food, unless it's french fries. Those are all my own!
ReplyDeleteGiving versus sharing are two different things. Like you said it's a personal preference! I am loving your dress girl!
