So I thought it would be a good idea to re-emphasize the message I have been sharing all year round - to take care of yourself first! ... and then scroll down for a gift guide which covers everyone and all age groups. You can shop it all at Downtown Silver Spring. Plus there a GIVEAWAY you can enter by texting "TANVI" at 444-222 (more details below).
Just a gentle reminder to keep these three things in mind during this holiday season:
1. Take time for yourself.
It is easy to feel lost or overwhelmed during all of the holiday hubbub. Even if you are not at home for the holidays, plan ways to make space and time for yourself to decompress. Seek out a quiet space from time to time where you can collect your thoughts and recenter yourself as need be.
2. Practice a healthy relationship with food.
You might feel subtle or not-so-subtle peer pressure to stuff your belly with all of those delicious holiday treats. Find balance for yourself by enjoying special holiday food, while also paying attention to your body’s cues of hunger, fullness and satiation. Check in with yourself from time to time to ask whether you are eating because your body is hungry or whether you are eating out reaction to some form of stress.
3. Remember that holiday stress will pass.
Keeping a strong sense of self during the holiday season will give you a sense of consistency and security during the ups and downs of the holiday season. Enjoy this time, while knowing that the stress of this season will eventually come to a close.

Starting with the (1) blanket scarf from LOFT. It is in the festive colors but also something that can be worn all year round. It is warm and versatile and easy to style. Perfect gift for any woman who is on-the-go and also likes to look cute. Next two are for the men on your list: (2) the beard grooming kit is perfect for the man sporting the fashionable facial hair trend. Again can be for any age group as long as they have a beard. And you can never go wrong with the (3) black leather gloves which are classic and versatile. Now something for the coffee lovers (4) a festive colored stainless steel tumbler. It is limited edition and would be perfect for absolutely anyone who enjoys a beverage. Last but not a least (5) sexy yet comfortable red pumps. The color is ideal for holiday parties and evening events. It would go great with metallic and black dresses. And the heel is more forgiving.
And now saving the best news for the last - ONE lucky person can win ALL the items on this guest list - by texting "TANVI" at 444-222. The winner will be contacted on or around December 15th. Good Luck!

I think making time for yourself can be one of the most important things to remember. I often forget to do that, and end up sick (aka exactly how I am right now, snuffling in bed with tea by my side). It's so necessary to take a moment and rest here and there!
ReplyDeleteHoliday stress WILL pass - thankfully! Ha! Super excited for CHristmas this year.
