This past week has been the epitome of rest and relaxation. Ever since we moved from Texas, I have always reminisced about the pace of life we had back there - it was slow, steady, luxurious and we had all the time in the world. On other hand the last three years have been a whirlwind of adventures, projects, meetings, travel, and life. And while I wouldn't change a minute of my life so far, I do like a slow pace of life, every now and then.
And that's exactly what my husband and I decided to do wrap up 2017. We watched three movies (at the cinemas), we watched a crazy number of tv shows, we ate out A LOT, we met friends and then we did a whole lot of absolutely nothing.
I have no new year resolution. I have no new goal for the year. I am quite happy with the path I am walking on and hope to continue the journey with same fervor. My heart is so full with gratitude for my life. I cannot wait to discover what new adventures and lessons 2018 holds.

That smile on your face says in all Tanvi. You look so incredibly relaxed and at peace. I'm so glad you had time to just BE again. Hope your 2018 is filled with more of those beautiful moments
ReplyDeleteLove your outlook and approach to the new year.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're slowing down. We need to pace ourselves and re-build our strength. Best wishes for 2018.
ReplyDeleteI haven't mad a New Years Resolution either but do consistently create goals throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fantastic and I am loving your bag! Happy New Year! Hope 2018! will be good to you!
ReplyDeleteI’m so glad you are loving life! Best wishes to you in 2018!!
ReplyDeleteIts always so lovely to read your confident words. There's nothing wrong with wanting in no way to improve things greatly from how they are if you are content and happy with your life - that in itself is a goal many wish for! Happy 2018 :)
ReplyDeleteI have no resolutions either. And I think you spent the last weeks of 2017 quite well. I took a social media break and also had a fab time.
ReplyDeleteAnd these are gorgeous photos. Love the coat and must get to Istanbul one day.

Isn't it so satisfying when your life is in sync and you feel truly happy? It is wonderful to hear that you don't feel the need to set resolutions and like you I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings. I have to say your photos are stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat’s an amazing feeling to have! Life in sync with the thoughts and aspirations!. I would like to experience that. I thought you live in Maryland for some reason. Where did you move to? You totally look relaxed and full of rest. I love watching movies in theaters, eating out and doing nothing at times. It’s my favorite pass time. Totally digging your Prada bag 😍
ReplyDeleteYour outlook and perspective on 2018 is inspiring. While we should always be growing and becoming better individuals, it is just as important to appreciate the season we are in and enjoy the journey.
ReplyDeleteGreat images. You look so free and alive in them. I hope 2018 offers more of the same for you.
ReplyDeleteI always love hearing about people who are as content as you with the way their life is going. It should be a goal of everyone's to live in a way that requires no major changes because then you are truly living the life you are meant to live. I do envy your relaxation, as my year ended in quite the opposite, with a nonstop whirlwind. Thank you for providing such calm inspiration for the new year, dressed with a wonderful smile. I hope your fervor for life continues all the way through 2018.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great way to end the year! I had two weeks off from work, but was really busy the first week. My Christmas & New Year’s Eve/Day were pretty relaxed. I’d like to have more days like that. I did make resolutions and it’s mostly improvements and building up last year. BTW, these are great pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great phase to be in when you are happy the way you are leading life and are actually content with what you have and what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you don't have a specific goal for this year. I think that's GREAT! You're leaving this whole year open to new possibilities, which is fantastic! Best of luck this year, I look forward to following along!
ReplyDeleteA steady peaceful kind of life is what everybody wished to have but a little bit of adventure and challenges made it more fun and extra special.
ReplyDeleteGreat outlook lady and definitely a road I'm willing to travel. Peace is what we need! You've a lovely smile and you look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy new year!
