Looks like the concept on time is completely lost on me. I do not mean time as hours-and-minutes but instead in big chunks. For example -
- I am 35 but I keep thinking I am 38 and telling people I will soon be 40!
- We moved to Maryland in 2014 but I keep thinking we have been here for at at least 5 years.
- I have been married for over a decade, but I feel it has only been a few years.
- I got back from Peru just about a fortnight back but it feels like months ago
- Things that happened long time ago feel like yesterday
You catch my drift? Is it just me? The the concept of time get blurry for other people too? I have always wondered why that is ...? Why do some instances feel closer and others farther while the reality is opposite? So many questions ... and no energy to google! Ha :)

In other news ... the winter is here and with each passing year I am getting more accustomed to the drop in temperatures. Having a brand new wardrobe for the season helps too!

I feel the Same way about time! It’s crazxy! Love the sunnies pick girl’
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one Tanvi. I feel the same. A friend of mine said that it's all subjective. If we build lots of memories while something happens then our concept of time expands. It looks like you've have about 40 years of memories built into your 35 of life. And that's pretty cool
ReplyDeleteYou’re not alone! It seems Iike last week that it was April, and that I was taking a leap of faith by leaving my job. I can hardly believe that it’s been nearly 9 months!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the relativity of time. As a parent, I often am amazed at how quickly time flies in some regards, yet it seems to drag with other aspects of my life. And then there is the example of how 5 minutes when you want to sleep goes by in a flash, but holding a yoga pose for 5 minutes seems like an eternity.
ReplyDeleteYour sunglasses are gorgeous! I will say that I never know how old I am anymore. After I turned 30 a couple years ago, I just never know anymore. I'm totally accepting of my age, but I don't ever think about it. So when people ask me, I genuinely have to think about it, lol.

I'm originally from MD/DC area and I loved your pics of the beauty of fall in Foggy Bottom! And I agree with you on losing time, lol. Maybe it's because we're getting older?
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate---but it's a good thing!!

I totally understand dabout the the time thing! I have a hard time recalling exactly dates and I actually had to calculate how old o am this year! Lol. Fab boots BTW! 😉
ReplyDeleteI am the same when it comes to time! I was living in New Zealand just 5 years ago but I feel like it was ages ago! loving the outfit!
ReplyDeleteYes it's funny how our notion of time can vary from one situation to the other. Most of people tend to feel younger or do their best to look younger.
ReplyDeleteFirst off I love the outfit, looks so comfy, cozy and warm. Secondly I am right there with you about time. It seems the older I get the more faster time seems to get. I feel like just yesterday we were starting 2017 and now we are about to start 2018. Where did time go?
ReplyDeleteYour outfit seems perfect for the cold season!! I totally get what you mean about time. I myself just turned 38 last week but I feel like I am 28 instead, LOL
ReplyDeletehahah I can totally relate to this! I feel like I just graduated from college LOL!
ReplyDeleteHuman (indeed all animal) perception of time is subjective. Every time I try to quantify time in my life, I have to do math and realize my mental perception is way off. Oh, and what a pretty winter outfit. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteI totally feel you on the time thing. I started doing that in my 20's - and completely skipped 23 - telling everyone I was 24 for a whole year.
ReplyDeleteI totally relate into this. lol! You look gorgeous in your outfit. Perfect for winter.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the blurrier my concept of time gets. I was just telling my bf the other day that 10 years feels like 5 to me now.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely beautiful in this gorgeous outfit! I totally love how comfortable and cute it looks! Shell
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone who is grappling with the concept of time. I started to experience that since I turned 35...so it's aging unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteTime passes but you look awesome! love the outfit! <3

Your sunnies and that cream sweater look amazing! Love your styling! And I get you with that concept of time. I feel like time flies like crazy since I became a mommy. Even though being 38 I feel like it's stopped for me about 10 years ago, when I look at my 8-year old daughter it quickly reminds me that "nope!" ;) Anyway, I think I just stopped worrying about that, I'm living my life better than when I was 20 :D
ReplyDeleteYour outfit looks so darn cozy and cute! I love your coat! xo
ReplyDeleteTime is always blurry for me! Time just keeps blowing by!!

I too feel like I was a kid just a few years ago.. but truth is I am 24 and have too many responsibilities in life.. 😅 BTW you are looking stunning with the sweater and shawl.
ReplyDeleteI also feel that I am a young even though I have a child. But the truth is I am 30+ and have a husband and a little bundle of joy. BTW, you look fashionista in your outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I was just thinking about this the other day! I was thinking about how memories seem so distance sometimes. Like I might be thinking about something that happened and wonder if it really happened, you know? Or I lose track of time and don't realize that I started college YEARS ago, although it seems like I'm still in college... it's so strange. I'm glad I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Its really helpful thanks for the sharing it.
ReplyDeleteloved the play on colour here! The brownish palette worked super well with the light tones sweater and that scarf is gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am in 30's but I always think that I am only 20's lol!!! I always feel younger everyday. By the way, I love the diversity of your outfit perfect this winter. I am loving your red scarf and your booties.
ReplyDeleteI definitely feel you on this post. The concept of time is crazy. I always feel the older I get the faster time goes. I am loving the outfit in these pictures, that’s definitely my kind of outfit!
ReplyDeleteI totally get what you mean... My bf was telling me how 2017 felt like 3 years combined into one for him... And that he had aged a lot ever since getting together with me... lol. Imma slave driver~
ReplyDeleteYeah.. i know that feeling, its crazy but its one of the realities of life. but on the other news.. you look absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that coat! Need it in my life! xo
ReplyDeleteHaha - it's exactly like this:) depending on what it was, if it was a pleasant experience or if there's a possibility of us doing it again.... so many factors ... but yes - I also experience it like that:D
ReplyDeleteYes! Time always seems to slip away. It feels like just yesterday we were finding out we were pregnant and now we almost have a new baby here!
ReplyDeleteLoving the jumper and the sunny's I do agree time goes so fast.
