2 Boiled, peeled and well mashed potatoes
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsps finely chopped coriander leaves
2 cups whole-wheat flour
2 tbsps vegetable, sunflower or canola oil
Water to Mix
Chopped Chillies (Serrano Peppers, Onions) |
Boiled & Mashed Potato mixed with the spices, chillies, and onions |
Kneaded Dough Slowly add water to the flour, a little at a time.Knead well to make a smooth dough. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes. |
Lightly roll out the parantha again. You will have to sprinkle some loose flour regularly to avoid the dough to stick while rolling. Place the flat dough on a pre-heated Tava |
Add 1 tsp oil to the bottom of the dough and turn it when it starts rising. Add oil to the other side now and repeat. |
Take it off the Tava when both sides are golden brown. |
Serve with Plain Yogurt and some Indian Chutneys!
I have been sitting on this post for over 3 months 'coz I was too lazy to type it and now I regret that since I meant to show my 'perfect-round-paranthas' to Amma. But thankfully now she doesn't need computer & internet to see them. She can just see them! :)
