No Make Up, except Kajal (Kohl) and Lipstick |
- Workout - It will detox your pores.
- Food - Eat raw, fibrous, seasonal fruits and veggies to help your skin hydrate & rejuvenate.
- Cleanse - Wash your face with a cleanser appropriate for your skin type
- Moisturize - Wear a moisturizer (with SPF 20 minutes before getting out of home).
10 Random facts about my skin regime:
1. I do not use foundation, concealer, primer, etc. at all (except for weddings)
2. I use eye cream daily
3. I wash and moisturize my face 3 times in the day
4. I make sure I remove my Kajal (kohl) before I go to bed
5. I avoid fried food
6. I apply a face mask once a week
7. I use a mild scrub twice a week
8. I do not experiment with too many new products
9. I use Almond oil to fight extreme dryness (in winters)
10. I use chilled Rose Water to soothe (in summers)
Now on an absolutely unrelated topic, over the years I have been told that I look like various celebrities. Of course I do not see the resemblance but when more than one person states the same names, one cannot help but wonder, right? So here are the 5 celebrities (4 Indian and 1 American) and Me. Tell me, do do you see any similarities?

I can't keep away from fried foodsss!! Nooo! :D
ReplyDeleteI never had any problem with acne while growing up, but as soon as I entered college, my skin just kind of went beserk! First year was horrible! Atleast this year it's a little better with just occasional break outs.
I'll try the routine! :)
And also, Neha Dhupia for me!
I could see why people would say you look like Neha, but I don't think you look all that similar to any of them. Your beauty is original! :) I totally agree with your on the skin care tips, by the way! I do use a primer and some powder, but those are both made to fight oil buildup (my skin is super oily). I love to keep my skin looking great because I can leave the house in a hurry and not worry about how my face looks!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous skin Tanvi! I am with you on all the tips, my favorite one is drinking tons of water. Though I can see a tiny glimpse of some of the celebrities, you are a true original. Especially your chin, that shape is unique and lovely:):)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I hate make up too! Its pretty uesless :)
ReplyDeleteI love your skin & you look SO much like JLO!! :O :O
www.arty-heart.blogspot.com
Your skin really looks lovely & healthy.....so your regime must be working!!! :)
ReplyDeleteEven I'm a kajal-&-gloss person....and till date, my skin has not yet shown any problems (except for dark circles, thanks to late nights & too much time spent in front of the PC) *touch wood*
Do you have nay remedies for getting rid of the dark circles???
P.S.: Neha Dhupia comes the closest, I think!! ;)
Hmph! I think I do only 2 of the things you listed. Humminah humminah..!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have an affinity for fried foods. I can't help it, it's too delicious!!! :O)
Great advice. You have wonderful skin now. Xxxx
ReplyDelete...and it's baaccckk. My first reaction when I saw your blog... "Omg! She looks just like Neha Dhupia!"
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT believe you don't use foundation...you have amazing skin...!
I had 2 quick questions for you...do you weight train before or after cardio? Also, how do you get enough protein on a vegetarian diet...? I just stopped eating meat and need help!
Wow you're so good about your skin! I really need to improve my own regime. Hmm as for the celebs, I think you look a lot like Neha Dhupia :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, I just wanted to tell you how much I agree with your last post about people turning blogging into a "science."
ReplyDeleteI am kind of sick of bloggers who make a list of "what to do and what not to do's" when it comes to blogging. It's a total turn off and in fact, I actually stopped following a blogging friend because she made such a bitchy one. Even though I had not made any of the "mistakes" she listed, I was still completely turned off by her attitude. Blogging is something we should do because we are passionate about something and because we love to do it. Who cares how many photos you post and what color your font is. Seriously. It's YOUR blog. (And I'm addressing a general "you" obviously, not talking about you in particular, haha).
Oh, and I'm kind of obsessed with your red pants in that post too. Lol.
As for this post, I loved reading your face cleansing tips because you have FLAWLESS skin! I also use almond oil and I am pleased to see it helps you as well.
What eye cream do you use??
Great post! Totally agree with your tips; I never wear face makeup either unless it's a special occasion and I really think it helps keep skin clear! Enjoy the weekend! xo style, she wrote
ReplyDeleteDude...You and Neha were separated at birth!
ReplyDeletehaha now that i know your beauty secrets i'll be beautiful as u are!!!!!:))) u might look like Neha, but i like the last girl the best, somehow she's so unique and gorgeous!:))

ReplyDeleteI'm also very much a kohl & lip gloss person......& even I've not faced any skin problems as such till date! *touch wood* My teen years have been miraculously acne & pimple free......but the only complaint I have right now is regarding my dark circles (thanks to late nights during college & long hours in front of PC)! Can you suggest any remedy to get rid of 'em???
P.S.: Neha Dhupia it is all the way....though I'd say you are more beautiful than her any day! :)
You look lovely here! Thanks for the tips Tanvi :)
ReplyDeleteNice tips :-) Neha Dhupiaa is the winner!!
ReplyDeletehealthy skin is so important but sometimes so hard to pull off! sometimes i wish i was 17 again. anyway, thank you for the tips. you are so right about not too much make up. it is like your skin cannot breath
ReplyDeleteChilled rose water sounds delightful!

ReplyDeletecouldn't comment in the morn! had errors! but now, yeah I totally want to do this 3 time routine, but I guess it's sort of messy in office, but I know I will try!
ReplyDelete:)
I think keeping off the make up (foundation et al) works wonders too! Excellent tips...I find that if I eat healthy, everything works beautifully...sleep, skin etc. The only thing that throws me off track is stress, which I can control sometimes but not not all the time!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have got glowing skin, Tanvi. Your tips are excellent. I haven't tried almond oil but should do as my skin gets very dry in the winter, too.
ReplyDeleteI think you are more beautiful than any of those other ladies. xxx
I could see why people would say you look like Neha, but I don't think you look all that similar to any of them. Your beauty is original! :) I totally agree with your on the skin care tips, by the way! I do use a primer and some powder, but those are both made to fight oil buildup (my skin is super oily). ReplyDeleteNeelam :) would be the closest match and Neelam is gorgeous :) and so are you!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips about skin care. I have'nt tried almond oil yet´, good tip. I will use it this winter..I have this never ending struggle with my skin specially in winters!

And also, Neha Dhupia for me!
What a brilliant post! I have always thought you had pretty damn good, super glowy skin! But perhaps put it down to great genes???
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, great tips... it's always a difficuly battle with hormones playing up on one's skin though.
x.o.x.o
LOL..Neha Dhupia and you could Kumbh ke mele mein bichde hua twins :)))
ReplyDeleteAh my skin behaved wonderfully through my teen years, its only now that it is going for a toss. Pimples, something I never had to worry about before seem to have falled madly in love with me! Damn! So now I have to take care of my oily skin...toning and taking off every ounce of make-up is my golden rule. I also stopped trying new products and settled with things that work for me. Rose water works wonders and once a week face packs help too!
this is such great advice. i'm going to start following this regime daily.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous skin Tanvi! I am with you on all the tips, my favorite one is drinking tons of water. Though I can see a tiny glimpse of some of the celebrities, you are a true original. Especially your chin, that shape is unique and lovely:):)
ReplyDeleteNeha dhupia!
ReplyDeletewho do YOU think u look like tho?

ReplyDeleteGood tips! And you look a lil like Neha dhupia..And, she is from my college :) A lil bit of trivia :p
ReplyDeleteOh I vote Neha!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe that you don't use any concealer at all, wow:)
xx
OMG, keeping my skin flawless is on my agenda 24x7. I agree with all your tips. And one should definitely avoid using foundation as much as one can! And you have gorgeous skin T! And neha dupia totally!
ReplyDeletelovely skin babes. I'm impressed by your managing to wash it 3 times a day. I do it in morning and evening. I use Laura merciers tinted moisturizer which is amazing, SPF 20, oil free, has slight tint of colour and makes my skin feel really smooth.
ReplyDeleteI think you look mostly like Neelam. Can't see any similarities to Deepika.
x
You surely have Jenifer Lopez's jaw line. & you have such a gorgeous skin!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I hate make up too! Its pretty uesless :)
ReplyDeleteI love your skin & you look SO much like JLO!! :O :O
Those are great ways to keep your skin looking healthy!! Drinking plenty of water also helps!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Mel
Great post! Your skin looks gorgeous =)
ReplyDeleteI got adult acne about 5 years ago and it was the worst time of my life. I found a website (acne.org) that pretty much saved my face. I learned that being consistent was absolutely key (I also rarely switch products) and I never sleep with my makeup on. These days I stick to powder, blush, eyeliner and lip gloss for my daily wear. The foundation and stuff only comes out for special occasions. I will definitely start looking for an eye cream though. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you look like any of them I think you look like Tanvi.
ReplyDeleteLoving your glowing skin. I will use some of your tips this week.
I was itching to tell you this, but did not how to bring it up. I saw Avatar this weekend and I think you have an uncanny resemblance with Michelle Rodriguez, especially the lower half of your faces. I thought she looked so much like you when she wore the aviators.
ReplyDeleteYour skin is gorgeous Tanvi.
Among the above pictures I would go with Neha Dhupia.
your skin regimen is insanely great. i wish i had the discipline! i'm glad to say i used to be a foundation girl, but now i'm only on tinted moisturizers...and soon, nothing at all.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips ..I knew many of them...some I will incorporate!
ReplyDeletewater works best for me..glowing radiant skin...and keeping the calories down!
you look good!
I dont think you resemble any of them! and why ....??
I'm going to keep those skin tips in mind..can never have enough of those! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, Neelam kothari! :)

Thanks for sharing the skin tips. I wish I could go sans base, concealer etc... but, I have acne scars and it's a must for me. I hope they fade with time. You do have great looking skin.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre
Haha, love the poll! I would have to say that Neelam is the closest, but I also think you have your own look and a very unique style.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the skin care advice. I was definitely reminded of a few things I have been neglecting! Moving to a dryer region, I have been TERRIBLE about consuming water. I am attempting to actively change that :)
@Tanvi,
ReplyDeleteI do not like Isha, Neha etc. The only actress I like there is Deepika..but not too much either. I think you look like any of those.
Sorry honest opinion.
That is such a great post and fantastic tips. As my skin is super sensitive I only use the stuff that I know are ok for my skin. I love the idea of eating raw foods:) Something Im working on lately:) Have a fantastic day, sunshine
