Day 23 - Life is Good ... when Healthy :o)

Borrowed from lululemon athletica

We are back to Yoga, people! I tried Bikram Yoga today for the very first time and it was an exhilarating experience. Saying, I loved it, would be an understatement. I have been meaning to try it since over a year but was a little hesitant. It is performed in a heated room (105*F & 40% Humidity) for about 90 minutes and God knows I can't stand humidity. However, since I have been doing Hatha & Ashtanga Yoga for sometime now, the postures were comparatively do-able but to do them while you are profusely sweating-down-your-spine was most certainly a challenge. The sweating is supposed to help the body get rid of the toxins and keep it warm and flexible.

Although, I made it through the class just fine but for the remaining of the day I had to drink a lot of liquids and eat high-energy food. My skin feels refreshed and body feels much lighter. Hence I am definitely going back for the warmth, so-to-speak! It's a good thing that the beginners plan offers 10 session for a reasonable $15.00.

We have been doing immaculately well on feeding our bodies with pure & clean food. I can promise one thing by my experience that in transforming one's body it takes 70% of what you put in, about 20% of exercise and the remaining 10% is accounted for determination and positivity to stick to one's goals. Preach-y but true! So we (Mr & Mrs) have been eating all sorts of berries (Red, Black, Blue), Strawberries, Apples, Watermelon, Celery, Peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Onions (Red, White, Brown), Peas, Carrots, Broccoli, all sorts of whole-grains (brown/wild rice, cous cous, multi-grain bread, whole-wheat tortillas, etc.), and fat free milk/yogurt/cottage cheese. Oh God, I gotta stop as this is making me hungry and it is past my eating time. But, you get the scenario. Life is good when food is healthy! *pat.on.the.back*
