I have been lately trying to understand what compels people to leave mean, nasty or rude remarks all over the Internet, whether it's on YouTube or Blog or other websites. This is not a thought that I am pondering over as a blogger, but as a person who spends a lot of time reading and researching for stuff online and often come across comments which I personally feel are pointless. They do not provide constructive criticism or any sort of feedback. They are often written with spite and are in abusive language. So here's what I wonder - What could be the possible outcome that the commenter is trying to achieve with that kind of feedback?
I cannot recall even one instance when have I ever left a mean or abusive comment anywhere on the Internet. For one, I rarely feel I have time to write a succinct and clear comment on other people's posts when I disagree with them, secondly I know by experience that no one cares what anyone else thinks. They wanted to put their thoughts out there ... they did and if you don't like it don't watch/read it. And thirdly I have never found anything to be THAT big a deal that I ever needed to go all full-blast-bitch on them.
Sure, I've disagreed with people's thoughts or rolled my eyes at what they decided to put out there for public consumption but I choose to keep my thoughts to myself or share them with people close to me OR if something leaves an impactful impression on me, then I blog about it (without calling them out or getting abusive).
So I am back to my original question, what compels others to share their unnecessary comments on other people's posts / blogs / website etc.?

I have had this floral tank since 2009. Every year I decide to give it away during Spring Cleaning and every year I change my mind. It fits fine. It goes with everything and I cannot find a reason why I should not continue to keep it in my closet. So that is that. Looks like it is sticking around for another spring.
That's what I love about classic printed tops which are durable enough to last after several washes. Floral is something which will never go out of trend. So is layering. So might as well invest in a few no-brainer pieces early on and then recycle them over and over again. What say?
I know what you are thinking. Not that same-old-dialogue again! But it wasn't intentional. I promise. I had planned this post. I wrote the title and then I realized. If you don't know what I am talking about, here's your clue ...
There is a good reason why florals are for spring. Duh! Right? So why not embrace it in your closet. For a simple reason that it spruces up your look instantly with color, prints, flowers (!). Don't limit it to just one piece of clothing. You can try is for different looks, from day to night, formal to casual.
Below are few of floral looks from the past:
Summer dressing for me is all about high buns, cottons and loose fitting. Every time I plan on wearing denims I change my mind soon enough. I do not know what I would do if it weren't for the salwars (and tracks).
One question I am getting a lot lately is: How are you settling in? - My answer: Just fine! (: The weather is pretty erratic, people are kinda-rude, manners are more-or-less non-existent but ... I still LOVE IT here. I think it is because I like change. Or rather, I like the change which I am prepared for! (; So all I can say is - so far so good! Will keep y'all posted on how things go. For now, I am sharing my daily #newhome experiences on Instagram, if you are interested!
It has only been a week (exactly) since we moved. I haven't unpacked yet but I already have an outfit post. Screwed-up-case-of-priorities-much? :P

I was totally going to write a post today, but the "time slot" I had decided to write has been taken up by an impromptu plan to go watch Gravity toinght. In case you don't know, I am a BIG Sandra Bullock fan. So excuse me, 'coz you will have to wait for a few more days to read my precious ramblings! (;
P.S. And as it happen, I had mixed these EXACT prints two year ago as well.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful response to the blog makeover. I have been staring at my blog-tab on my browser all week. Its all just so pretty. No? If you don't know what I am talking about then the chances are that you follow the RSS feed or subscribe by email. Time to hop on to the blog people. You wouldn't be disappointed.
Remember, how I was losing interest in all-things-blogging just few week back? That's when I realized, I needed a change and something fresh to motivate me to blog again. The new look has driven a lot of positive energy into my blogging already. And all the credit goes to Sarah via LIVING GOLDIE for her fabulous-creative-work. You have already met her on this blog last year. She was so patient through the whole process. I wanted to depart from my previous blog template and wanted to infuse a little color and life into the blog. She sent me several drafts and themes and after going to-and-fro I actually ended up liking the very-first-draft that she had sent. Can you imagine how annoying it must have been for her? Yet, she was so wonderfully calm and accommodating to all my needs. Her creativity speaks for itself, but what I like the post that its clean and yet attracts attention.
If you are looking for a new blog design, or even if you require just small tweaks to make your blog look new or a little more professional, you must get in touch with Sarah. Her rates are extremely competitive and the her work is that of a thorough professional.
Moving on to the outfit, this is what I wore yesterday to a dinner party at Linda's. You've met her as well on this blog in 2011. Well, till yesterday I was a fan of her style, and now I am in love with her home. It is like one of those perfect-pinterest-homes which you wish you were living in.

I have stayed with my friend Khushbu the last two times I have visited New York. Being childhood friends we both can attest to how we have changed since old days, which always makes for interesting conversation. During many such
discussions conversations with her I realized she has this unique quality to disagree and yet hold-her-ground without sounding defensive or attacking the person on the opposite side. I have not met anyone who can do that, except her. It's been more than 2 months since I returned from New York, but I still often ponder over our many such conversations and get amazed *silent.nod.of.admiration* at this unique quality of hers where she is sincere, stands by her opinion without disregarding or disparaging the other person. A new personal goal for 2013.
