F*ck That - No Make-Up No Filter

No Make Up No Filter Tanvii.com

Last week I reviewed five books I have enjoyed recently. Below are the highlight from the first book I have mentioned: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck
by Mark Manson

- Not giving a fuck does not mean being indifferent, it means being comfortable with being different.

- Pain, in all of its forms, is our body’s most effective means of spurring action.

- People who become great at something become great because they understand that they’re not already great - they are mediocre, they are average - and that they could be so much better.

- Self-awareness is like an onion. There are multiple layers to it, and the more you peel them back, the more likely you’re going to start crying at inappropriate times.

- This is because you always get to choose how you see things, how you react to things, how you value things.

- Until we change how we view ourselves, what we believe we are and are not, we cannot overcome our avoidance and anxiety. We cannot change.

- If you’re stuck on a problem, don’t sit there and think about it, just start working on it. Even if you don’t know what you’re doing, the simple act of working on it will eventually cause the right ideas to show up in your head.

- You too are going to die, and that’s because you too were fortunate enough to have lived.

Guys, I have completely dropped all facades. Not that I ever wore enough make-up that it could ever pass as 'a look' but this past whole week I went everywhere sans make-up - to work, to lunch, to dinner, to meetings - Everywhere! It wasn't a big transition for me but it was still liberating. I did that because I was giving my skin some breathing space and letting it adapt to change in season. However, it also saved me a solid 7 minutes of applying make-up in the morning and 10 minutes of removing make-up in the evening. And I was most thankful for those 17 minutes!

On that note, this post as well is sans make-up. I only have sunscreen on and nothing else. Not a spec of any product. Also, I am wearing the same top I wore in the last outfit post (which was shot in Mexico City).

I love wearing make up,but I love not wearing even more. It makes my skin smoother, and I feel lighter every time.

  15. Women are free to wear makeup and not wear makeup. They should enjoy that freedom by doing both. When you want, apply it; when you don't, don't. P.S., those rain-booties are cute!
