Three Ways Thursday - Long Cardigan

Three Ways To Style a Long Cardigan Tanvii.com
1 / 2 / 3

It has been a while since the last Closet Remix post. I have no excuse. I just haven't kept up with it as diligently as I had in the past. But I am super excited about this Three Ways post as this Free People cardigan has been one of the most used layers in my closet in the past two years. As I type, I cannot even believe that I have been this cardigan for a little over two years. Time has flown by. But I digress.

Getting back to the cardigan ... it has been one of my travel staples. It is light weight, easy to layer over anything. You can style it over a dress to tune down the look, or make it more sophisticated (look #1) depending on the dress's style. You can also use this as a third piece over a jeans and tee look (look #2), or you can layer is over the dress and still wear jeans underneath (look #3). The cherry on top is that the color is quite versatile too. Here's another look I had styled with the cardigan earlier in May.

Other colors that would work the same way are mud brown, grey, black, and military green.

Do you like layering with long cardigans?
Have I convinced you to try it?

Below are some options that I am loving in this style right now.

  1. Love how you've styled the cardigan! I wear all of my long cardigans exactly one way (style 2). This post is giving me some much needed inspiration!

  6. I actually much prefer long cardigans to short ones, particularly for my body type! That first look on you is stunning - the blue dress is beautiful.

  9. I love the long cardigan look and I love how you've styled it. I always find Free People to be a little more expensive than normal so it's great you've got your money's worth haha! :)

  10. This is great, I loved that you showed the piece and how it can be worn multiple ways. I could never wear something like this yet ( my kids would end up playing in acting like its a tent or some sort....lol). BUt I love pieces that can be worn multiple ways.
