Things People Do That Annoy Me

As much as I am working on my 'zen state of mind' people do make a dent in it every now and then and make me annoyed. Rest assured I am not mad enough to lose any sleep over it, but enough to remember and blog about it. 'Coz hey! that's what blogs are for - creating content about things that entertain and annoy you. So here goes ... things that people do that annoy are:

1. Who speak loudly (on phone or otherwise) in public places: I don't get people who think buses, trains, public spaces are their living room. Just the other day my husband and I were sitting in a hotel lobby and working, when suddenly a woman started shouting in to her phone. I am not exaggerating. She had her head set on and was completely unaware of how loudly she was speaking. We could hardly focus on our work till her call didn't end.

2. Who makes plans only to cancel them: Truth be told, I am secretly always happy when plans get cancelled because I am a total home body and wish to never leave. However, I have come across a fair share of people who have made plans with me at least 5 times in the past year and then cancelled them all of the five times. Why even waste energy making these plans?

3. Who message you only when they need something: It used to be "call" a decade back, but let's be real no one calls anyone any more. I bet you too have someone or the other in your life that when you see their name flash on your screen your automatic response is, "They must want something!" and they always do.

now below two are about driving in the Unites States.
I know these rules do not (yet) apply in India and it's surrounding countries but
I live here and this drives me nuts

4. Who drive slow in the fast lane: I do not understand why do people who do not wish to go over 20 miles an hour drive in the fastest lane and then even when they see a car approaching behind them they refuse to get out of the way. Newsflash: Get out of my way, biatch!

5. Who change lanes without giving an indicator: I am not a psychic and I cannot predict when someone is going to take an exit or decide to over take without any warning! Whenever I notice people driving without giving an indicator, I wonder if they did not learn it right? Did they not pass the driving test? Or have they forgotten the rules? Whatever the reason, it is highly inconvenient to people who drive responsibly.

6. Who are constant whiners: We all need to vent every now and then ... I get it. But there are some special kind of people who just have a way of making everything into a drama. They open their mouth and a sob story comes out. Nothing ever goes right in their life and it is obviously never their fault. This happens to be their story 24/7 for at least 6 days of the week. Sigh! I don't have enough positive energy to lend them. I maintain a ten arm distance.

  4. Love this outfit! But seriously, someone driving slow in the fast lane BOTHERS me so much! If someone did that in Texas, they would either get a ticket or ran off the road lol

  5. It is amazing the things people can do that annoy people, I very rarely go into the fast lane as my car doesn't have the umph but middle lane hoggers get me.

  6. This top is even cooler now that I can see the red floral embroidery detail. And I used to do #2 all the time (and I have a friend who still does this). But then I decided to just stop making plans in general because truth be told, most things in life I don't want to do, lol.

  9. It's always so uncomfortable to be around people who talk loudly on the phone and you can't ignore it! A lot of your points are people that are selfish with no consideration for others.

  10. Heck yes to these! It infuriates me when people don't use their blinkers while driving. It's such an easy thing to do!

    I love your outfit!

  11. Oh, so many of these are secretly me, too :) especially the making plans to cancel them. I like making plans because it makes me feel like I'm not a complete shut-in but when someone cancels...ooh, that's just more quality time with a blanket, coffee, and a really good book!

  13. What I also don't like is those people who only remembers you when they need something from you and those who doesn't have their words of honor. That two really annoys me too. -ANOSA

  14. To add to #5 - the people who think that you can turn on your turn signal and immediately change lanes whether anyone is already occupying that space or not.

  15. all of these things annoy me a lot...also when people who work in customer service dont have that service type attitude, it bugs me heck out of me.

  20. I always think that am a positive person that doesn't get annoyed easily at most things. But, there are times, I still have some pet peeves that make me do a double take.

  24. Arghh tell me about it. I find it so annoying when people just message me just when they want something. It makes me question their friendship! X

  25. I realize that everyone is different and our level of agitation is the only thing that we can control. Everyone has their ways. It is up to us to be patient in how we let it affect us.

  26. Your first and third point annoy me most, how i hate it when someone shouts on phone in the public and people that only remembers you only when they have a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Love your outfit!! Really annoying cancel plans. I thing whoever do that disrespect your time and life. I do not like these behavior without a reason

  28. I am dying over this top it is something that I will love to wear. It looks so comfortable and chic.

  29. Some of the points you mentioned have happend with me at some or the other point. I have done Lane crossing without giving indicatiors🙈 And having learnt my lesson, I know ensure to give indicators each time!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love this post. I share all your peeves. I should write one soon!

    ReplyDelete
  31. People can be so thoughtless sometimes. You look great though!

    ReplyDelete
  32. 4 & 5 are my two biggest pet peeves, especially drivers that don't use their tun signals. People like that cause wrecks! 😬 A huge pet peeve that me & friends have is people that leave their buggys (Southern for shopping cart) in parking spots or nowhere near the cart return spaces. So lazy! 😠 BTW, cute outfit! 😁

    ReplyDelete
  33. lol! Those things annoy me too. Love your outfit BTW :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I get annoyed too when people cancel plans and drive without giving an indicator. Wish people can be more thoughtful and responsible for their act.

  35. I can relate to so many of these types of people that you have listed down. I get turned off by people driving slow in the fast lane too. The most annoying ones, however, are those who bail out on all exciting plans, the last minute.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't stand when ppl make plans just to cancel. It's inconsiderate of the other person's time.

    ReplyDelete
  37. These are great examples of people that annoys me too. I especially finds people who cancel plans at the last minute to be the most annoying of all. Thanks for sharing.

    ReplyDelete
  38. What bothers me most is when people are flat out unreliable. Here and there things happen, that's life. But when it's a steady habit it's irritating to say the least. It's hard to make plans when you can't count on them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. These happens like everyday and if you continue giving them attention, it will only add stress on your life and more wrinkles on your forehead.
Have patience and more patience :)
BTW, i love your latest OOTD here!

  40. I too don't like it when people are talking really loud on their phones especially when they are on the speaker phone in public.

  41. Love the look, great! I can't stand when people chew their food really loudly!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Love this outfit, girl! I'm with you on the whole people only calling/texting when they need something. D: I knew someone like that and it was always about them and I realized it was time to cut them out of my life. SO much happier now! Love this post!!

  43. can't get enough of this outfit - it's so dang cute and just perfect! Your annoyances and all things that make me nuts - reading through them actually made me laugh because I can see myself in those same situations! I was at a coffee shop yesterday actually - sitting outside by myself - when a woman came outside and started a phone conversation and was SO loud. She ruined my peace & quiet and was totally obnoxious ... those little things make me need a margarita instead of a tea :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. You wrote some good points. I can relate to them as well specially no 6. Its hard being positive all the time but I cannot entertain people like that for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lol this is way too true and relatable!! Every single one of thosr get to my last nerve as well. I have to add in- people who smack their food and eat like they're a barbarian! Or inconsiderate people who have absolutely zero regard or manners, like simply holding a door open for someone or saying please and thank you! I could go on but I will just get more irritated lol. Great post!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I agree with you. It's really annoying people who can shout like when there's no tomorrow. And one more thing who texted you when they need anything. It's so frustrated.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Omg yes on #3 also people who just want to know your business! I had a friend once whom only thing she ever asked when she messaged or saw me was about my personal life. It was always so nosey. Of course after a while I stopped answering her messages lol
