You know what I find fascinating? - The fact that random incidents from my childhood have become such strong etched memories. Some are significant and some are mundane but they are all crystal clear in my head like it was just yesterday. My moisturizing story is also one such insignificant slice of past which stayed with me all throughout the years. When I was about ten years old, I was asked to sleep over at my aunt's place who was newly married then and was not comfortable being alone when my uncle was traveling. It was then that I noticed that she moisturizes twice daily. The only other female I ever had close proximity to at that age was my mom. I knew from her that we were supposed to moisturize every morning after shower. But applying moisturizer (or rather oil in my aunt's case) at night was an alien concept to me. I never asked my aunt why she did so, or had any conversation about it but the memory of that observation has stayed with me. It was then that I learned that moisturizing was apparently an important aspect of having silky soft skin.

I won't claim that I started paying attention to my beauty regime at ten but definitely by my late teens I was quite particular about my skin, hair and over all body's upkeep and health. You can say, that I learned early on that the secret to keeping the whole body soft and healthy looking lies in moisturizing.

I have been using Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Nourishing Monoi Oil for the past two years and have not looked back since. It not only keeps my skin moisturized throughout the day, it also cut down the 'getting-ready-time' into half. After showering, your skin cells expand, providing an easy pathway for moisture to instantly lock into just-showered skin. And if you have read my previous post you know how easy it is to apply.

I recently tried the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Restoring Argan Oil and loved it just as much. And I do not know how that is even possible but it slides on smoothly and provides 4 times the hydration. The reason I have become such a loyalist towards Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer is that, my skin never felt this soft and healthy when I moisturized the old way, i.e. after shower! Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizers absorbs instantly providing all-day softness and the hydrating oils leave a lightweight feel.

  5. I agree! I wish I had started moisturizing in my teens.. but sadly now the Calgary weather forces me to moisturize after every shower. Will surely try the Jergens one. You are rocking the Kaula Puri Chappal :)

  8. I never thought about moisturizing twice a day, but it makes total sense. I may have to try that and the Jergens Wet Skin moisturizer, especially in the winter months when my skin is the driest.

  9. Wet skin moisturizers with oil are so awesome. When I was in Jamaica I went to the spa and got an antioxidant exfoliating massage. Basically they just exfoliate all over your skin with some sort of papaya scrub (that was amazing) and then they moisturize you. I've never felt more moisturized in my life, lol.
