PK Movie Review: Movie that you cannot ignore12:00 AM
Disclaimer: There are NO SPOILERS!
To say that PK is the most awaited Hindi movie of 2014 would be an understatement. It is rare that I make it to the movies first-day-first-show (FDFS) lately. The only movies I have seen FBFS in this year are Queen, Bang Bang and PK.
PK has been work in progress for last five years and what a masterpiece it has turned out into. Hats-off to Rajkumar Hirani. He has some how managed to write a script which is equal parts funny, and equal parts thought-provoking. Just like all their previous movies, the team has been successfully able to translate a sensitive subject into a national debate.
All the performances are strong and help elevate the story. Saurabh Shukla portray's his character with finesse. Boman Irani is spot on (as always). Sushant Singh is pleasing and likable. Anushka is enchanting and lights up the screen.
And what does one say about Aamir? He is as good as one gets. His performance makes you sit up and take notice of every single expression and nuance he brings to the character. You wonder whom do you even bench mark him against? He is one of a kind and the finest actor we have in this century. There are so many moments in the movie that I would like to mention but that would spoil your experience of the movie. So I will withhold my thoughts and opinions for a few weeks and may be come back and share them in another post.
For now, all I can say is, you must watch PK ... and then ... learn from it and change yourself!
