Friday Fitness: Lower Body Workout


Disclaimer: I am not an expert or have any formal education or training in this field. These posts are purely on personal experience and knowledge gained via several years of training and learning 'on-the-job'. If you are a novice please consult a professional before listening to me. 

After what seems like ages, I am inspired to do fitness posts again. 

My favorite body parts to workout are legs and glutes. Together they make up the largest and the most powerful muscle group in the body. Strength exercises help build muscular endurance and also improve cardio vascular performance. I am addicted to leg exercises and hence include them in almost every workout. You can only develop overall body strength if you have the strong foundation that leg exercises provide, trust me!

Usually I do either:
  • 2 sets of 30 repetitions OR
  • 3 sets of 15 repetitions
It purely depends on how much time and energy I have on that particular day. 
For variations, I add dumbbells or leg weights.
