Anger & Forgiveness

2:08 AM

Yamini & Neha have me thinking about anger and forgiveness lately. I realized that do not fight with anyone as passionately as I did before. For most parts I do not find "it" worth my time. Also, do not find anyone worth fighting 'with' either. As I am growing up it is getting harder and harder to forget, though! Every memory (specially bitter ones!) is starting to become engraved in my brain forever. We have already established that I do not hold grudges, but I do not forget either. In other words it means that a lot of my brain-space is being occupied by unnecessary stuff which I wish I could cltr-alt-del. So the no-fighting part is good. Not-forgetting part, not so much!

Anyhoo, if you are wondering what happened to all the chunky knits?
Well, that's Texas for you! Totally unpredictable in terms of weather.

  4. Tanvi,

One can forget too and erase bad memories, may be with little more effort.

    Take care

  10. It's good to strive for a Zen-like state of enlightenment where we don't get angry. Anger, while ostensibly caused by and directed at others, is really emotion created within ourselves. Ridding ourselves of it is beneficial, especially when driving. :)

    Nice jewelry.

  11. loving the blouse and the boots

honestly I try to forget too but i just cant. my grandma used to say fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. I think at times you need to keep those lessons as a reminder to not be duped again.

  15. Those boots! Wow! That skirt's such a sexy shape on you, too.
I rarely fight with people unless they make a really insensitive, racist or sexist remark and then I simply have to take them to task. My drama's all in my appearance not my personality. x

  16. Like your top!! As you grow older/up, one tends to fight a lot less maybe because we learn to see the other side of the coin or it could be just that we realize it is not worth our energy or our time :) Weather is unpredictable everywhere this time, I guess..it still hasnt snowed yet and I see green everywhere and we live in the heart of mid-west :)

  17. I have a thing for floral prints I think! its just pretty :)

Also, whatever anger I may have/get over loved ones, it may stay in my head, but I forget to act upon it, which I think is great :D
On wasting time and energy, it normally doesnt happen with random people, so no issues :)

  18. totally love the skirt!! And the flowery top goes so well with it:)
Agree..anger on random people never happens..its only people who matter. And I never quite understood what forgive and forget meant! I might not actively think about any bad memory but I think it is very hard to truly forget it. And I think that goes for any memory. Cannot be forgotten :)

  21. I really haven't like 'fought' with anyone but yes there have been misunderstandings and grudges. Sadly, even if I like to believe that I have forgiven those people the fact that I haven't forgotten constantly reminds me of what went wrong and I again slip into the phase where I have to re-forgive them. So..but ya I kinda fight a lot with my fiance :P
I love the floral blouse and teamed up with that skirt..reminds me of Blair :):)

  22. i have the same thoughts abt the not-forgetting part...me too trying hard not-to hold grudges but somehow i just cant forget anything...

  23. I am really bad about forgiving too easily. I tend to get walked all over--which is almost just as bad.

Love the cowgirl boots with the pencil skirt! Have a great holiday Tanvi!

  24. Alt + Ctrl + Delete - you want to lock the memories so that you can unlock them when ever necessary or you want to shift + delete - and permanently delete the bad and hurtful memories?

  26. That blouse is so pretty! I can't hold grudges or fight much because I honestly don't have the energy. I'm a great compartmentalizer so I just put it away and forget about it. LOL xoxo

  30. This is the first of your looks that strikes me as quite Texan (in a good way!)

It is hard to forget, but perhaps you are not really ready to forgive so you don't forget? Like many things, it takes time.

    Have a lovely weekend darling!

  31. Even I do not get anybody to fight with... don't know if thats good or bad.. anyways I do forgive but its difficult to forget.. I mean if you have been hurt or wronged in any which ways, then I think its impossible to forget

Anyways, I am sort of enjoying the weather here in Sharjah...just the right amount of sun :)

I haven't had fall outs with as many people since I've gotten married. But even then, I simply cannot forgive and forget. I've tried and tried. It just doesn't happen.
