...the outfit, being discussed in this post is not the one below, instead was posted here.
Ruth & SEPO both asked me if it was stressful deciding what to wear to the conference! Honestly (cross.my.heart) it wasn't! I checked the weather and then looked through my closet and decided to wear the cargos with the bright orange (it is not red, people!) top. I picked the top, for the sole reason that I hadn't worn it yet. Then I picked the shoes which had heels but were also comfortable as I knew it was going to be a FULL day! Having picked the tan color booties I matched my tan color bag. Easy!
And this was all sorted 2 weeks before the conference. But closer to the date the weather forecast showed that it was going to be rainy all through the week, so I added the cardigan as it was light and was luckily in contrast with the dots on the top. Simple!
So, No! there was no stress what-so-ever *big.smile*. There never is ... I do not remember stressing over what-to-wear ever. Not even for my wedding!
On an absolutely unrelated topic, I tried the fishtail braid yesterday for the first time, and I was really happy with the result, i.e. I will be doing it quite often now till I do not get bored of it :D
P.S. I forgot to mention that my hair (which I didn't even brush once) in my previous post were styled on request of Megha from Bohemian Rhapsody Capturing Fashion who asked me to give it a shot at the 'messy hair'! Whether they looked messy or not is another thing, 'coz I have miserably straight hair which no-matter-what are never anything but straight.

There are times when I forget to brush my hair, too. I love those days. And I agree, why stress oneself over what to wear? There are other more stressful things in life and one really ought to avoid stress as much as possible;-)
ReplyDeletevery chic. like the way you combined the blazer, shoes and HOT lips..
ReplyDeleteLoved the fish braid.I am very bad when it come to make braid. It will be very good if you can post a tutorial.
I can't explain why, but I really liked this outfit. It's casual and smart and bright and everything!!! My hair is just stubborn, no matter what I try, blow dry, hair spray, it stays just one way - frizzy as hell!!!
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you before how much I LOVE these Tory Burch flats of yours??? <3
ReplyDeleteAnd if THAT'S messy hair for you, then wait till you see ME on a bad hair day!! I'd have given anything to make it stay straight always! Sigh!!
Messy hair? It looks like mine on a good day.
ReplyDeleteI think you chose beautifully. I agree with Fashion, Art and Other Fancies, life's far too short to stress about your clothes. x
Love the stripe on stripe effect! Something I have tried and failed miserably all too often. xx

You'd have made my dream princess fifteen-twenty years back.I remember going to bed every night and praying for almost half an hour for straight hair.God never listened to me,that's a different story altogether.:P Now I've kind of learned to be comfortable with what I've.So,my hair doesn't bother me any more. And that orange watch and pumps!I can look at them forever and still not get tired!Great, great find.
