My favorite time of year! I have them too and I just got The NYT Style mag fall fashion this morning and looked at it over breakfast. Heavenly day! Enjoy sweetie :)
In Doha a stupid little man (well that's how I imagine him, I've never actually seen him) goes through and colours in anything deemed morally questionable. If he finds something particularly offensive he tears out the whole page regardless of what's on the back (usually the final page of an article I'm really enjoying.) I have come to loath him passionately in my time here. But... I'm going to London in 3 days and no one colours magazines there. Yaaaay! I'm saving myself to buy a whole bunch as soon as i land. The hubbie has stopped even pointing out that there is a mini cab waiting in a no-stopping zone for us outside. He knows he just has to wait. xoxo
I bought september issues last weekend, but I've been so busy since then that I haven't had a chance to read them. Tonight, I am making dinner and cozying up with a glass of wine and a stack of magazines. Sounds like a good night to me!
Just received them..now looking forward to reading them! I'm also excited about picking up magazines in India..most of the good ones got launched after I left!!
Yikes I feel so out of place commenting here, I am not subscribing for anything at the moment! I did subscribe for Elle for three months and then shifted to Fitness and Shape!
I don't have any magazine subscriptions! Almost the only time I buy magazines anymore is in the airport when I need something to entertain me! (Magazines work well because I'm usually running on about 0-4 hours of sleep, so pictures are nice and easy to process.)
Our September Issues come out next week. Sadly, they half as exciting as the ones you get there. And they sell the international versions at ridiculously high prices here. If you find any of them realllly nice, lemme know and I'll go splurge, all in the name of education and research :-p
YES, MAAM!! ya know, when i was younger, i used to hate Vogue because of the pages and pages of ads. now i look forward to the ads! go figure. tis a splendid way to spend hours doin' :o)
Alas... I no longer read fash mags.... I get my kicks online. I was addicted to magazines but just... I don't know... it all got so boring... I loved the 70s, 80s and 90s editorials.
Fashion mags are all so generic now. Models and 'it' girls are generic and clones. Twig thin with vacuos expressions, usually in a hunched or legs akimbo pose and a cigarette to demonstrate how edgy and rebellious they are. gag me.
Thing is... I prefer getting my style thrils from blogs now.
